Can I get a deposit refund for a car bought at a distance (i.e. online or over the phone)?<\/h2>\n\n

For sales at a distance (i.e. when a car is sold over the phone or internet without the customer ever visiting a business\u2019 premises), then the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 say that you have the right to a 14-day cooling off period and to have your deposit back during this time if you decide to cancel for any reason \u2013 you are not obliged to give a reason when asking for a refund in this scenario.<\/p>\n
